Rosie Choueka (1976-2015)

We are greatly saddened to announce the untimely death of our partner, Rosie Choueka, at 8.30 am on Tuesday 16th June.
Rosie only joined us a couple of years ago, but within no time at all, it felt as if she had always been here. Indeed, it’s hard to imagine anyone becoming a part of the furniture somewhere more quickly and more effortlessly than Rosie did at Bristows. Her talents as a lawyer, her kindness and her unfailingly positive outlook on life made her a much-loved part of our competition team and our whole firm. Strong, quick-witted and always good humoured, even when diagnosed with cancer a little over a year ago, she was, in short, an inspiration.
We will miss her dearly.
She blogged about her illness throughout. Read by many the world over, it was by turns funny, insightful and deeply moving but always searingly honest. You can read it here:
We are touched by the number of clients and friends of the firm who have got in touch to express their sympathy and to send their condolences. Thank you. We are comforted by knowing that so many who Rosie advised over the years will miss her as much as we will and remember her as we will – as a brilliant and trusted adviser, as an excellent colleague, as a friend you could count on, and as a wonderful human being.

We have created a JustGiving page for Breast Cancer Now, our charity of the year, which Rosie was heavily involved in championing.
