Associate – Patent litigation

Ewan joined Bristows as a trainee solicitor in August 2020 and qualified into the patent litigation team in 2022. Since then, he has worked on a range of matters covering pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and SEP/FRAND licensing disputes.

Ewan has experience in UK litigation as well as in coordination projects assisting local counsel teams across European and global jurisdictions.

Ewan’s recent work highlights include:

  • Acting for the owner of a 3G/4G/5G SEP portfolio owner in the UK action in a global FRAND licensing dispute.
  • Acting for a major pharmaceutical company in multi-jurisdictional coordination of litigation relating to ophthalmic medical devices.
