William is an associate specialising in IT and commercial transactions. He works on a range of technology and general commercial matters, including IT outsourcing, digital transformation, BPO, SaaS and software licensing transactions. He also has experience advising on data protection, open source, consumer protection and emerging technology regulatory issues.

William started his career as a technology consultant at IBM, where he designed solutions for IT outsourcing and implementation projects. He has also previously worked in software development and is an occasional programmer. This background allows William to understand clients’ transactions on both a commercial and a technical level, and to deliver pragmatic advice for both suppliers and customers.

During his training contract, William was seconded to the legal team of a leading IT services firm. He also serves on the Cloud Group committee of the Society for Computers and Law.
