Dhara Reddy

Dhara joined Bristows as a trainee solicitor in August 2021 and is currently working in the brands, designs and copyright team as an associate where she qualified in September 2023.
Dhara has represented clients across a wide array of sectors, including luxury goods, fashion, retail, technology, alcoholic beverages and confectionery.
Much of her contentious experience includes drafting and responding to cease and desist letters and providing infringement opinions on trade mark and copyright related issues. More recently, Dhara’s litigation experience includes supporting the team in a High Court passing off dispute between two large real estate companies where she was predominantly involved in an extensive disclosure review. Dhara has also assisted in an ongoing UK enforcement program tackling anti-counterfeiting for a large luxury goods client.
In addition, Dhara has experience in other advisory and contentious trade mark matters including conducting clearance searches and assisting in trade mark disputes before the UK IPO.
Some of Dhara’s work highlights include:
- Assisting on a High Court passing off dispute for a large real estate company.
- Advising on the exhaustion of IP rights for a luxury cosmetics brand.
- Working on a project focussed on tackling counterfeit goods for a global luxury goods client.
- Acting for a well-known soft toy company in a trade mark dispute.
- Providing infringement opinions for a multinational confectionery company.
During her training contract she completed seats in patent litigation, commercial, technology and copyright disputes as well as commercial IP/IT and data protection. During this time, she also undertook a secondment at a global technology company in their IP litigation team.
