David Durgan

Associate

David joined Bristows in September 2020 as an associate in the commercial and technology disputes team. He advises clients in relation to technology disputes, including distressed IT projects, copyright, cyber and media litigation.

David previously worked for the litigation department of a leading global internet company, and has gained considerable experience of the data protection, libel and privacy issues facing media and technology companies. He has advised on a range of contentious data protection and media matters, including ‘Right to be Forgotten”, privacy and defamation claims. David also has experience assisting companies in responding to cyber security incidents, and regulatory investigations.

During his training contract, David gained a range of experience across several practice areas, including competition, TMT litigation, contentious IP and general commercial litigation.
