Julia is a corporate and real estate tax specialist.

Ground-breaking science and technology often underpin her clients’ businesses and the breadth of her tax expertise supports throughout their journey: from early stage companies accessing University spin-out relief and raising SEIS, EIS or VCT finance to large listed household names structuring their financing, M&A and licensing transactions. Real estate tax forms a significant part of Julia’s practice thanks to her SDLT, VAT and construction industry scheme expertise. Julia also frequently advises on tax efficient employee share incentive arrangements. Julia has a keen interest in the international tax developments linked to the digital economy and the intersection between tax and technology, having spoken on topics ranging from the taxation of cryptocurrency to tax in the metaverse.

Julia holds a committee role at the Chartered Institute of Taxation and has a particular passion for increasing the diversity of, and access to, the tax profession.
