Milly Wickson

Milly joined Bristows as a trainee in 2019 and qualified into the patent litigation team in 2021, where she works across the life sciences and technology sectors.

Milly has experience across a range of matters covering pharmaceuticals (antibodies and targeted therapies), manufacturing, telecommunications, and computer networking. She has been involved in a number of patent infringement and invalidity disputes before the English Courts, most recently in a case concerning injectable steroids.

As well as UK litigation, Milly advises on freedom to operate and has experience coordinating projects with local counsel teams across European jurisdictions. She also has experience assisting patent attorneys in oppositions before the European Patent Office and providing support on a referral to the CJEU.

During her training contract at Bristows, Milly worked across a variety of other practice areas including Competition, Brands, Designs & Copyright, and Commercial IP, and spent 3 months on secondment at a well-known pharmaceutical company working on general commercial and IP matters.
