Kyrana joined Bristows as a trainee solicitor in 2022 and qualified into the Brands, Designs and Copyright team. Kyrana’s practice focuses on managing international portfolios, advising on advertising law and handling IP disputes.
Kyrana assists clients with portfolio management, filing strategies, clearance searches, registration and trade mark disputes. Her contentious work includes assisting on a High Court passing off dispute between two real estate firms and contributing to a UK anti-counterfeiting enforcement program for a high-profile luxury brand.
During her secondment with a leading US-headquartered entertainment group, Kyrana gained first-hand experience in the media and entertainment sector, working closely with the IP team and advising on advertising and consumer law matters.
Some of Kyrana’s work highlights include:
- Advising on a High Court passing off dispute for a large real estate company.
- Assisting on an ongoing UK enforcement program tackling anti-counterfeiting for a global luxury goods client.
- Acting for an automobile manufacturer in connection with their UK trade mark portfolio, including in opposition/cancellation proceedings before the UK IPO.
- Acting for a luxury hospitality company in opposition proceedings before the UK IPO.
Prior to joining the firm as a trainee, Kyrana worked as a paralegal in Bristows’ Commercial Technology and Copyright Disputes team for over a year. During this time, she worked mostly on large-scale IT disputes.
Kyrana speaks fluent Dutch and French.
