Senior Associate - IP litigation and competition

Lucie is a strategic and experienced litigator with a particular focus on the enforcement and defence of intellectual property rights and dispute resolution. Lucie regularly handles complex multi-jurisdictional disputes, advising UK and international clients pre-action, on proceedings before the Courts and Competition Appeal Tribunal and on the coordination of global litigation. Lucie’s IP practice covers the full spectrum of IP rights, including patents, trade marks, designs and copyright. She has particular expertise in the cross-border coordination of patents proceedings.
Lucie’s litigation experience is broad, covering a multitude of creations, innovations and technologies – from monoclonal antibodies and COVID-19 vaccines to search engine algorithms, global confectionary brands and couture jewellery. She advises clients across a wide range of industry sectors, including pharmaceuticals and life sciences, cutting-edge technology, digital media, luxury brands, fashion, retail and consumer products.
Lucie also provides clients with strategic advice on how best to protect and enforce their IP and regularly provides freedom to operate and validity opinions.
Lucie is a qualified Solicitor Advocate.
Lucie has industry experience, having spent six months on secondment to the litigation department of a major retailer.
In 2021, Lucie was awarded a prize for best contribution to a Study Question by AIPPI (The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) UK, for her work on the Patents Study Question on the inventiveness and sufficiency of disclosure in AI inventions.
In 2024, Lucie was elected to the Council of AIPPI UK.
