Luca Cericola

Associate - Commercial & IP transactions

Luca is an associate in the Commercial & IP transactions team. He advises clients on a range of non-contentious IP matters, with a particular focus on transactions in the life sciences sector that involve the development, exploitation and transfer of IP rights.

Luca’s background in biochemistry is of particular assistance when advising on transactions for life sciences clients, including research and development collaborations, patent licences and assignments, manufacturing and distribution arrangements and litigation settlement agreements. He has also recently been on secondment to a life sciences medical research charity where he gained extensive experience in drafting and advising on agreements relating to technology transfer services.

During his time at Bristows as a trainee solicitor, Luca spent six months on secondment to the in-house legal team at a global technology company. Prior to joining the firm, Luca also worked as a financial operations analyst at a multinational software company and subsequently as a paralegal at a leading international law firm.

Luca is an Ambassador of the Fitzwygram Foundation, a charity that advances education by granting secondary school bursaries for talented but financially disadvantaged pupils. He is also an Aspiring Solicitors Mentor.
