Max Harris


Max is an associate in the Commercial IP/IT team, specialising in commercial transactions related to information technology and intellectual property. Max joined the firm in 2017.

Max qualified at a global law firm, where he practised until 2016. He has completed secondments to four in-house legal teams: in the security, consultancy, telecommunications and cloud computing industries. In addition, he spent a year as a consultant solicitor in the in-house team of a large Japanese financial institution, where he advised on technology related commercial transactions and IP matters.

Max has advised on a range of commercial contracts, including software licence and maintenance agreements, application development agreements, sponsorship agreements, services agreements and on various commercial agreements within the media industry. He has recently advised clients on their use of blockchain technology and open source software.

Max was Chair of the Junior Lawyers Division of the Law Society in 2015, where he took a particular interest in identifying measures to improve social mobility in the legal profession.
