Elizabeth is an associate in the commercial IP team at Bristows. She advises clients on non-contentious IP matters and general commercial matters, with a focus on transactions which involve the development, exploitation and transfer of IP rights. Elizabeth has particular experience in the life sciences sector; her background in natural sciences provides her with an excellent understanding of the technical aspects of life sciences matters.
Elizabeth has worked on many different complex commercial IP transactions and her experience includes advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients on R&D collaboration agreements, licensing agreements and options to acquire IP rights. She also advises on the IP aspects of corporate transactions, and drafts patent settlement agreements working with Bristows’ IP litigation team.
Elizabeth gained valuable experience from time spent on secondment to the in-house legal teams of a global brand owner, a global biopharmaceutical company, and an NHS Trust.
