Colette Deamer


Colette joined Bristows in March 2020 as an associate in the commercial IP/IT team. She specialises in commercial intellectual property, technology, data protection and privacy matters.

Colette has worked with a wide range of international clients, with a particular focus on the life sciences, technology and media sectors. Colette has experience working on multi-jurisdictional matters and advising clients on the exploitation and protection of intellectual property rights. She has also assisted with the drafting and negotiation of various commercial contracts, advising on GDPR and data protection issues and assisting with intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions.

During her training, Colette also gained experience working on contentious intellectual property matters. She assisted a global biopharmaceutical company defend its patent against invalidity claims and worked on a number of trade mark infringement matters. Colette also acquired experience assisting with trade mark portfolio management and liaising with the EUIPO and UKIPO on various intellectual property matters.
