Kim joined Bristows in April 2024 from an international law firm in Germany.
Kim is experienced in dealing with transactional and advisory matters related to the development and exploitation of intellectual property rights within a wide range of sectors including life sciences, technology, and retail.
Her work focuses on advising on commercial projects and negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements. Further, Kim also specialises in supporting on the related IP aspects of M&A transactions, notably those involving patent, know-how, copyright, trade mark and software licencing. Additionally, Kim advises on research and development, manufacturing and distribution arrangements, IP related collaborations and partnerships, as well as advising on IP ownership and commercialisation issues.
Some of Kim’s recent work highlights include:
- Advising on a complex IP carve-out and sale of divisions of a leading pharmaceutical company.
- Assisting an academic institution on drafting and finalizing development and testing agreements for research projects.
Kim has a background in competition law, having previously advised upon abuse of dominance investigations and competition law issues arising out research and development agreements and IP licencing.
Kim is a qualified lawyer in Germany.
