Helen specialises in the competition/IP interface and has considerable ‘FRAND’ and competition litigation experience. She was a key member of the Bristows teams that represented Samsung in its seminal FRAND and competition law disputes with Apple and Unwired Planet.
She has a broad competition practice dealing routinely with investigations/RFIs from UK and EU regulators in the TMT, pharma, biotech, healthcare and consumer product sectors. She also advises regularly on a broad range of competition issues arising in licensing, distribution, agency, R&D, collaborations, sales and acquisitions as well as dominance issues.
Helen has written regularly for leading practitioner publications such as Competition Law Insight and Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice as well as contributing to Bristows’ competition team blog ‘The CLIP Board’.
Helen has spent time on secondment to the in-house legal department of a leading global IT company as well as a leading global biopharma company. Her background in biochemistry gives her a valuable understanding of the technology of Bristows’ IP clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields.
