Amy is a senior associate in Bristows’ IP Litigation department, with a particular focus on patent litigation. Amy’s practice includes patent disputes in the pharmaceutical, telecoms and consumer products sectors.

Much of the pharmaceutical patent litigation on which Amy has worked involved multiple jurisdictions and required co-ordination between different national actions, including the preparation and review of technical evidence. Amy has been involved in cases and interim applications before the High Court and Court of Appeal and recently acted in patent infringement and revocation proceedings relating to a standard essential telecoms patent. In addition to her experience of complex patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and telecoms sectors, Amy is familiar with the interface of IP and competition law, for example in relation to SEP litigation and FRAND licensing.

Amy also has experience of disputes on other IP rights and has advised on various aspects of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property work and strategy, including freedom to operate opinions. She recently completed a secondment with a global pharmaceutical company, working on patent litigation and licensing matters.

Amy participated in Bristows’ UPC moot and is a contributor to Bristows’ reporting on EPO decisions for the CIPA Journal.
