Nicholas Michelmore


Nick qualified as an associate in the patent litigation team in August 2018, having joined Bristows as a trainee solicitor in 2016. Nick works on cases in a range of technical areas, and has a particular interest in the life sciences sector. In addition to working on English patent litigation, he has experience in the co-ordination of IP litigation relating to global pharmaceutical products, working closely with local counsel throughout Europe and elsewhere around the world. Since qualifying, Nick was seconded to the IP litigation team of a global pharmaceutical company.

During his training contract, as well as training in IP Litigation, Nick has had exposure to a number of other departments at Bristows including commercial technology and copyright disputes, life-sciences regulatory, commercial IP/IT and data protection. Nick also gained valuable commercial experience having spent three months on secondment to the in-house legal department of an international pharmaceutical company.

Prior to joining Bristows, Nick previously worked in pharmaceutical consultancy as a healthcare analyst.
