For someone who has always had a keen interest in science, particularly the life sciences, my interest in law only began to develop during the latter stages of my education. I certainly enjoyed carrying out research and development at university, during my Biochemistry degree, and in the pharmaceutical industry. However, I felt a need to satisfy a broader curiosity of commercial matters, as well as maintaining a connection to the scientific industry.
As I began researching a career as a solicitor, both online and through personal recommendations, Bristows’ name continued to appear. I was particularly drawn to Bristows’ exceptional reputation in both the life sciences and technology sectors, as well as its impressive client list.
I then attended the Science and Engineering Open Day and I was hooked by the enthusiasm and friendliness of all the staff who took part. I immediately applied for a position and embarked on one of the more interesting interview processes that I have taken part in, which made me even more sure that I had might the correct decision.
Since joining Bristows, my initial impressions have been more than confirmed. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and sociable. I am already involved in a wide range of matters and I am certainly looking forward to the rest of my training contract at the firm.
