Bristows acts for Courtsdesk in its challenge to the Ministry of Justice’s decision to cease providing court data to Courtsdesk
20.02.2026
Our media disputes team acted for Courtsdesk, the leading provider of court data to UK news organisations, in its challenge to the Ministry of Justice’s decision to cease providing court data to Courtsdesk and demand that existing data be deleted.
The MOJ’s decision to reverse its order to delete this key data is a significant victory for Courtsdesk, whose court reporting services play a crucial role in facilitating open justice and public interest reporting in the UK.
Our team was led by Partner Julian Darrall, assisted by Associates Joseph Fox-Davies and Polly Hatcher. Jude Bunting KC of Doughty Street Chambers advised on the matter.
