Bristows advised Mimir Industries AB on the UK aspects of its acquisition of advanced materials business Osprey from Sandvik.

Osprey develops and manufactures gas atomised metal powders, controlled expansion alloys and engineered materials for demanding applications across aerospace, defence, medical technology, energy and advanced manufacturing.  

Bristows provided integrated advice across the UK aspects of the transaction, bringing together expertise spanning M&A, Intellectual Property, financing and National Security advice. As a complex carve-out of an advanced technology business with national security sensitivities, the transaction drew on the team’s experience of combining technical understanding with transactional and regulatory advice. 

The Bristows team was led by partner Nicholas Cross, supported by Senior Associates Drishi R Beeharry and Molly Whitehall. Bristows worked closely with Swedish law firm Delphi on the transaction.
