Anna joins team leader and newly appointed Joint Managing Partner, Theo Savvides
Bristows has added technology lawyer Anna Cook to the rank of its partners. She joins the Commercial and Technology Disputes team which acts for global clients such as Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Cadbury, Philips, Capgemini, Google, Bulgari, Trafigura, and Kodak.
With 20 years of experience, Anna specialises in disputes arising from commercial contracts and large scale technology projects, including issues relating to data, confidential information and copyright. She frequently advises clients about commercial risk, change management, exit, termination and the renegotiation of their commercial terms.
In the last eight months, Anna has been working for Bristows as consultant to deliver commercial projects for a key client, working alongside Bristows’ specialists in outsourcing, disputes and data protection. She was previously a partner at RPC and Head of Dispute Resolution at Radiant Law.
Theo Savvides, Joint Managing Partner and Head of the Commercial and Technology Disputes practice, welcomed Anna by stating that “Hiring Anna into the team just makes a lot of sense for us. Her experience is complementary to our existing practice and only strengthens our capabilities in technology dispute resolution” and added “Anna offers our clients legal creativity as well as deep understanding of their business and market. We’re thrilled to have her on board.”
With this announcement, the firm now has 38 partners. Anna Cook’s appointment follows the hiring of partner Steve Smith and promotion of Sophie Lawrance to partner, both in the firm’s growing Competition team, in recent months.
