Experience

Our client, a leading healthcare insurance provider, wanted to offer its patients a seamless digital service to access their medical information, book appointments and manage their payments. We supported our client’s initial investment into the Silicon Valley start-up it was partnering with, advised on the IP licensing and IT hosting arrangements, as well as data protection and healthcare regulatory compliance.

Our client, one of the largest Nordic banks, was keen to invest in start-up and scale-up technologies businesses, particularly those involved in digital transformation. We negotiated both the investment agreement and the terms for a new ‘digital first’ banking platform as part of our client’s own transformation, as well as being sold to third parties, including ‘challenger banks’.
