Experience

Our client, one of the most high-profile creators of artificial intelligence in the world, regularly seeks advice in connection with regulatory compliance, as well as the launch and use of its cutting-edge generative AI models and associated tools across various industries.

We advised a global IT, consulting and outsourcing company in structuring and developing its go-to-market strategy for its proprietary platform-as-a-service product which accelerates software development projects. Working with the development team to understand the mix of proprietary, third party, public cloud and open source components, we advised on the key IT, IP and data protection risks and market positions and produced a suite of standard terms for their new platform offering.

Our client, one of the world’s leading gaming software developers of massively multi-player computer games, came to Bristows as it was preparing to launch its latest blockbuster game following a tip off that a third party software developer was planning to release at the same time ‘cheats’ and ‘bots’ for players to use while playing our client’s new game. We assisted our client in bringing a successful application for an interim injunction during the crucial post-launch sales period and went on to obtain a permanent High Court injunction against the defendant, shutting them out of the UK market permanently in conjunction with concurrent proceedings in Germany and the US.

Our client, a public sector body, has developed a genomic medicine service based on a ground-breaking genome sequencing project. We have advised our client on its IP and commercialisation strategy for implementing the largest sequencing project in the world and led negotiations for the various data, technology and IP commercialisation projects, as well as assisting on the real estate transactions to house the sequencing and technology hardware and providing employment and corporate advisory services.

We assisted our client, a manufacturer of ‘smart televisions’ in connection the design and development of numerous innovative product features to ensure compliance with various European regulations.

One of the world’s leading cloud storage providers regularly seeks our assistance in drafting negotiating enterprise-wide cloud contracts with its clients.

If they feel that the value delivered doesn’t align with the hours billed, they’re more than willing to adjust the fee to ensure our satisfaction.”
