Assisting a major global brand to secure space for their second UK food hall in the heart of London’s South Bank following successful ventures in Lisbon, Dubai and the US (Miami, New York, Boston, Chicago and Montreal). During negotiations we were instructed to provide a variety of advice to the client in relation to construction matters, planning, tax, advertising, concession arrangements, guarantees, licencing and the incorporation of an extensive fit-out.

Acting for a high-end Chinese fashion brand on the acquisition of a design studio and showroom in Central London.

Acting on behalf of one of the largest garden centre and lifestyle retail groups in the UK and Channel Islands on their UK real estate strategy. This has included the acquisition of 10 garden centres and most recently  its purchase of a portfolio comprising eight Wyevale Garden centres, owned by private equity firm Terra Firma for a value in excess of £34m.

Acting on behalf of a family owned garden centre business in relation to the disposal of their business and subsequent redevelopment, refinancing and letting of the site.

Advising landlords in connection with the grant of concession leases to national retailers including negotiation of bespoke turnover rent and service charge provisions and planning advice.

Acting for garden centre operators on energy micro-generation proposals, lease restructurings and redevelopment proposals.
