Join this Law Society webinar, presented in collaboration with the Canadian Bar Association, to gain an understanding of public interest intervention in different legal jurisdictions and the outcomes/significance of recent cases.

Expert speakers including competition law partner, Stephen Smith, will analyse the Government’s ability to intervene in mergers on the grounds of public interest, and draw comparisons between the UK, Canada and the EU. The panel will pay particular interest to the new powers introduced in the UK in 2020, how well these are working and what the future looks like.
