Daniel Owen
Associate

Daniel is an associate in the commercial IP/IT team. He joined Bristows in 2021, having trained and qualified at a magic circle law firm. He advises on transactions relating to the development, commercialisation and transfer of intellectual property, as well as information technology and related data protection issues. Daniel has represented clients in various sectors, including technology, life sciences, luxury goods, automotive, sports and media/entertainment.
His experience includes advising on research and development collaborations, franchising agreements, software development agreements, licensing arrangements, sponsorship agreements and the settlement of disputes, as well as advising clients on the day-to-day management of intellectual property and data. Daniel also has extensive experience advising on the intellectual property, information technology and data protection aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and outsourcing.
In addition to his work in private practice, Daniel has spent time on secondment at a large global healthcare company.
