Bristows LLP announced the promotion to partner of Tim Allen, effective on 1st May 2018.
Bristows’ Real Estate team is an important element of the Bristows’ transactional group and provides strategic legal advice and support to clients ranging from global businesses and institutions through to individual investors and privately held UK businesses.
Tim joined the commercial real estate team in 2008. His broad experience includes development projects, sale and leaseback transactions, property finance and landlord & tenant work as well as handling the real estate aspects of corporate transactions. He has a particular interest in the commercial value of data and the impact of technology on the way that real estate is designed, constructed, occupied and traded. Tim is a Tech London Advocate and has helped a number of the UK’s most significant technology businesses develop and implement a successful real estate strategy. He regularly assists overseas companies in that sector setting up in the UK.
Teresa Edmund, Head of Real Estate at Bristows, welcomed the promotion: “Tim has been a key member of the team for a number of years and has proven himself an essential and highly valued adviser to our clients. I am delighted that he will be working with me to further build on the team’s core strengths and to help maximise our opportunities in the real estate market”
Marek Petecki, one of the Managing Partners of the firm, added: “We happily welcome Tim to the partnership – he’s already playing an important role in our full-service transactional offering, particularly through his focus on the intersection between technology and real estate. He joins the partnership at an exciting time for the firm, and just a day before the opening of our first overseas office in Brussels.”
