Last week, Bristows filed an infringement action in the Unified Patent Court (UPC) on behalf of our client, Winnow Solutions Limited, a UK company operating in the waste management sector.

The filing – made to The Hague Local Division in English – is a positive reflection of the continued, and increasing, presence of UK firms acting in UPC proceedings either as sole counsel or collaborating with their international counterparts. It also reflects the increasing prevalence of English as the language of choice for UPC proceedings.
