Edwin is an associate in Bristows’ Competition and EU team.
He has particular experience of working with businesses in the technology and pharmaceutical sectors, and regularly advises clients on the complex issues arising where competition law and IP law intersect.
From March 2014 to October 2016, Edwin was a key member of the Bristows team that represented Samsung in its competition and ‘FRAND’ litigation against Unwired Planet and Ericsson. He is now helping to advise a global consumer electronics company which is being investigated by the European Commission (as part of the follow-up to the Commission’s e-commerce sector inquiry).
Edwin has written for publications such as Competition Law Insight and The Licensing Journal, and regularly contributes to Bristows’ blog on the competition/IP interface, The CLIP Board. He has also been on secondment to the legal team of a global computer games company, where he worked on general commercial and IP matters.
