Pro bono

Our lawyers provide free of charge advice to organisations from around the world. Through a coordinated programme of pro bono activities, we have the opportunity to provide assistance to individuals and community organisations in need.

We encourage and support fee earners of all levels wishing to offer their experience to support the firm’s pro bono programme as well as those individuals already conducting their own independent pro bono activities.

Our partners and fee earners have been involved in some varied and interesting pro bono work in recent years including some notable projects. For example, we helped social enterprise Techfugees with their brand licensing arrangements as part of their launch in the US. Techfugees coordinates the international tech community’s response to the needs of refugees. A little closer to home, we have also assisted theatre charity, The Royal Theatrical Trust (RTST), in relation to its national RTST Director Award Scheme. The scheme provides an opportunity, annually, for an up-and-coming theatre director – who succeeds in a rigorous competitive process – to create and direct a play at a prestigious British regional theatre.
