In many ways Bristows was the natural choice: for its sector expertise, quality of training and people-driven focus.

Coming from an Engineering background, I wanted to apply the problem solving and team oriented aspects of my degree to new challenges. I wanted a career where I would be chasing the clock and not counting down the hours.

From attending the Engineering and Science Open Day in 2015, I was convinced Bristows would provide this. To me, the firm’s approach in applying scientific understanding to finding creative legal solutions made it unparalleled. Bristows attracts industry leading clients through its award winning TMT and Life Sciences sectors and this provides you with a range of opportunities to work at the cutting edge.

Maintaining high standards alongside a reputable work-life balance was definitely a stand out quality. Throughout the application process, law school, and now the start of my Training Contract I have been impressed with how welcoming and dedicated everyone has been to my development. Due to Bristows’ relatively small intake, there is a real sense of camaraderie and responsibility from an early stage. I am excited for what my Training Contract has to offer among such a bright and diverse group.
