Head of Bristows’ Tax practice and with over 25 years experience, Miranda is a corporate tax specialist advising clients from start-ups to multi-national corporations on the whole gamut of tax issues that they face in carrying on their businesses.
Specialist areas include advising on M&A deals and other forms of corporate/ commercial transaction such as joint ventures, financings, reorganisations, real estate deals, IT and IP contracts/licences and bond issues. Much of her work has a cross border element.
Advising on employee tax issues, share incentives, investment reliefs for growing companies, VAT and the taxation of innovation forms a significant part of her practice. Negotiating with, and litigating against, HMRC has also become a feature of her work in recent years.
Miranda advises on the full range of tax issues affecting clients in this sector, with a particular focus on structuring their internal operations and investments in new business areas. Miranda is also a member of the Charity Law Association and the Charity Tax Group.
