Eleanor is an associate in the regulatory department advising on both contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters in the EU and the UK. Having studied Biological Natural Sciences at Cambridge University Eleanor has a keen interest in the pharmaceutical sector and life sciences sector more generally.
Since joining the team Eleanor has advised clients in relation to regulatory compliance on a broad range of subjects, including on medicinal products, medical devices, cosmetics and food. Eleanor’s work has particularly focused on advice in relation to medicinal products, for example looking at requirements for authorisation, promotion, market exclusivity/ data protection, orphans, paediatric extensions, pharmacovigilance and falsified medicines; and also in relation to medical devices, for example on software medical devices, clinical evaluation reports, clinical investigations and labelling. She has gained litigation experience by being involved in representing a global pharmaceutical company in legal proceedings before the High Court on issues regarding IP rights and competition law, assisting clients to prepare for a NICE highly specialised technologies appraisal and judicial reviews. Due to the nature of her work Eleanor often works closely with foreign local counsel across the EU and beyond in order to provide coordinated advice to her clients.
Prior to joining Bristows in 2017, Eleanor trained at a global law firm and gained experience working in a finance team and extensive IP and data protection experience working in both contentious and non-contentious teams. Eleanor also spent time working in the in-house team of an international insurance broker.
