Head of Bristows’ Competition and Regulatory practice appointed to 4 year term in Chancery Division
London, UK – 4 September 2018 – London-headquartered law firm Bristows LLP noted with pleasure today’s announcement that Pat Treacy, head of the firm’s Competition and Regulatory practice, has been appointed Deputy High Court Judge following a selection exercise by the Judicial Appointment Commission. Pat will be assigned to the Chancery Division.
Specialising in EU and competition law, Pat has been a partner at Bristows for 23 years. She served as the firm’s second female managing partner, working alongside co- managing partner Paul Walsh from 2004 to 2011.
Pat has also recently been elected Senior Partner at Bristows, the first woman to hold the role. She will start her two-year term in November, while continuing her practice advising clients on competition law issues affecting innovative sectors such as the Technology and Life Sciences sectors, and particularly on the interface between competition law and the exercise of intellectual property rights.
