The protection of personal data (or personally identifiable information) has become a critical compliance issue for many clients, and we are regularly advising on the implications of the increasingly stringent European privacy and data protection regime. We have a particular focus on international data privacy compliance and have helped numerous multinationals with ensuring the compliance of their international data transfers.  Such projects have included the development and filing of Binding Corporate Rules, entry into the EU-US Safe Harbor and implementing EU Model Clauses throughout clients' operations all around the world.  We also advise on access to information using freedom of information or environmental information legislation and the reuse of public sector information.
