Annabelle is an Associate in the firms’ IP Litigation department. She joined the firm as a trainee in 2008 and qualified in 2010. During her training, Annabelle spent time on secondment to the in-house legal department of a global pharmaceutical company where she gained a broad range of commercial experience.

Annabelle advises primarily on patents but also has experience of trade marks and design rights. Her litigation experience encompasses full actions and interim applications, both on an inter partes and ex parte basis. She is experienced in advising international clients and regularly works alongside lawyers in other jurisdictions.

Annabelle’s practice covers all sectors but her technical background is particularly well suited to the Industrial Markets and Technology, Media and Telecommunications sectors. Annabelle advised on the recent dispute between Samsung and Apple in relation to mobile technology. This hard-fought litigation involved 3G telecommunications patent issues as well as complex procedural issues relating to confidentiality.

As part of a team of Associates who are responsible for a global pharmaceutical product co-ordination project, Annabelle also manages IP litigation in a range of jurisdictions.
